Slideshow Mode
You can use flashcards in Manual or Slideshow mode.
Manual mode
When you open a deck, you’ll automatically be in Manual mode. When in Manual mode, you’ll be able to reveal your answers on your own time. Use this mode if you want to save your rating for each card.
Click to Reveal Click to reveal the answer to your prompt.
Rate your recall
Once you’ve revealed the answer, you’ll be asked to rate your recall for this card.
- Easy/Got it
Use this rating when you feel confident with the word or phrase. You can recall its meaning and usage effortlessly, even in context.
- Neutral/Almost there
Choose this rating when you’re close to fully understanding the word but occasionally hesitate or need to think about it. This rating signals that you need a bit more practice to solidify it in your memory.
- Hard/Still learning
This is for words that you find challenging or can’t recall easily. You may struggle with their meaning, pronunciation, or usage.
If you’ve rated this card before, the current rating will be shown.
”Nonki Difficulty Level” database column
Once you rate your card, you’ll see a new column automatically generated in your Notion database called “Nonki Difficulty Level”. We’ll record your rating each time, and use your rating to create your decks based on the difficulty levels that you choose.
Slideshow mode
If you want the deck to display automatically with a timed answer reveal for Slideshow mode, go to Deck Settings > Enable. All of the flashcards in the deck will be put in randomized order.
You can choose the duration between the prompt and reveal, and Loop if you want your deck to run continuously.
